An Unfair Justice System

It is hard for an Ex-Convict to find a job, because of their background. I personally know someone who went to jail for possession of a unregistered gun. They did the time they had to do and was released. After being released from jail they searched high and low for a job, and could not find one. This person had not been in trouble with the law since their last encounter. I think jobs should do background checks, but if a person has a criminal background they should look farther into it, rather than denying them of a job. Most people were young making a bad decision Our government talks about equal opportunity and justice for all, but to me that is not fair. I also understand that if you make a decision there are consequences that follow after that decision, but if you went to jail or paid other reprimands there should not be a set back on your future.

Too Much Money Wasted on Sports

Have you ever wondered why athletes in the NBA, NFL, or Baseball league get paid millions of dollars to play a simple sport? I think they get paid way to much money for what they do. Nurses, Teachers and people that actually work just as hard as they do not see half the money these athletes see, and that is not right. I believe our nation could do better financially if they decreased the amount of money celebrities, and athletes get. Some of the money could be used to help over hundreds of thousands of homeless people, or people that are struggling. If playing sports is your passion, and your life why should you get paid all that money?

A Teacher with Rights

A few weeks ago, a teacher was fired for failure to use the correct procedures in reporting a fight gone wrong with his football players. This teacher has been a teacher at this school for over 5 years and was fired, with no questions asked. That was wrong, later after a board meeting officials had no choice but to give him his job back. This is not the first time they tried to get rid of this coach. The students as well as the community was in a state of rage and protested for the coach. I believe that the school district is doing everything in their power to terminate this man's employment as a teacher

Young Teenage Pregnancy

I believe that our young females do not have enough guidance nor information about teen pregnancy. In my city there are so many young mothers as young as 15 years old having babies. There is no type of guidence. Parents are not being parents and talking with their children. It seems like it's babies having babies. I know several young females that now have babies because they were misguided and did not use protection. These females have not even lived life yet and are popping babies our left and right. I think information on teen preganancy needs to be implimented more and advocated.

Gay Marriage

Gay marriage is a very controversial topic. I personally know a few homosexual people, and I believe that gay marriage should be legal in all states, even around the world. As a person you can not help who you like. People need to understand that unless physical harm is being done why not allow it. More and more gay people get physically and emotionally hurt because of their sexual preference. I think if you let them live life the way they want to live it and mind your own business the world would be a better place. Homosexual people are normal people just like you and I, and should not be discriminated because of their sexual preference.

Legalizing Marijuana

Now, we all know marijuana is an illegal drug. A few states in the U.S lika Californiahas been able to legalize marijuana for medical use only. I think that marijuana should be legal. Marijuana has no serious health issues and when under the influence of marijuana, it is not life threatening. It could help boost our economy and crime rates would decrease. So, let's legalize MARIJUANA!!!

Media As We Know It

The media today is horrible. Children have no ambition and look up to rappers, drug dealers and killers as motivation. I think television stations need to stop all the violent, indecent shows and movies they show and focus more on educational and informational shows. Our children's minds are being corrupted and they have no hope. They are our future and we as a country should care about what we penetrate into their brains.
